In the Experiencing America: San Francisco class, you will learn about San Francisco's unique role in the United States. San Francisco, one of the largest cities in California, is located on the Pacific Ocean and the San Francisco Bay. It is known for its steep rolling hills, mix of Victorian and modern architecture, and famous landmarks, including the Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz Island, and the cable cars. The city is also known for its diverse, cosmopolitan population, its chilly summer fog, beautiful parks and eclectic neighborhoods.
